Neighborhood critters

We've had a few different critters visit us in the last few weeks and I thought I would show you the ones we got pictures of. In addition to this we have plenty of rabbits and squirrels.
.
This ring necked pheasant was in our back yard and Bob was able to get this picture. These birds have such pretty coloring.
.
There have been a bunch of chickens wandering around. They must be "free range" because I don't know where they came from and I've seen them in the woods and in peoples yards. Last week I saw them across the street with this wild turkey that joined them and seemed to think he was a chicken. He wandered around with them and let me walk within 5 feet of the group without running off.
.
This little chipmunk frequents our front yard, and often sits on this corner of our porch, nibbling on something. He sure is cute, but he drives Bob crazy by digging holes in his flower beds!

  5. Wonderful pictures... You are lucky to get them.I too live in the country but yet I am in the town limits. But on my 8 3/4 acres I have all of those and deer too. I can not have a garden now because they love all the tender greens. Those pesky chipmunks!!!!I have turned ankles many times because of their holes close to my house...Beautiful creatures they may be but I hate the holes in my flower beds so I sympathize with your hubby.

  22. What a gorgeous chipmunk, I'd love to see one of those little fellows! The nearest I get is a children's indoor playground called "Chipmunks" - not quite the same :-)

  23. We can hear the roosters across the way at the farmers in the evening. Turkeys cross the roads in various places, so do deer. Saw a chipmunk do the same the other day. It's wonderful!
