Slow Cooking Thursday

It's almost Thursday! That means Sandra is hosting her Slow Cooking meme.
Today's recipe is so simple, you won't believe it!
.
Easy Beef Stroganoff
1 can cream of mushroom soup
12.5 ounce can beef broth
1 1/2 to 2 pounds beef stewing meat, cut in 1" pieces
1 cup sour cream
2 cups cooked noodles
Combine soup and broth in 4 quart slow cooker. Stir in meat.
Cover and cook on low for 9 - 10 hours.
Stir in sour cream and cook on high for 20 minutes.
Serve over the hot noodles.

  1. I did almost this EXACT same thing today. Great minds... :) Only I used a beef stroganoff packet of preseasoned noodles for flavor and stretched it by adding more noodles and a can of cream of Mushroom soup. Then I combined it with the meat and a little broth. Yum!

  2. It does sound easy and yummy. You know what I've started doing...I buy the kabob meat, and the name of the piece that it's cut from has left me, but it's just a little bit more expensive, but a lot leaner, because I end up cutting the gunk off of my stew meat when I'm cutting it in smaller pieces. So if I get the other, I cut off less if anything, and I figure the cost comes out about even. That was a little rambly, but I hope it made sense.

And I see this is in your crock pot that is a little smaller than your regular one you use. That helps me because I know I'd probably need to double it for my bunch and put it in the bigger one. Am I right?

  3. Stroganov is one of my favorite recipes. I always option for turkey breast instead of beef tho. I like it better that way.

Oh ya baby, and sour cream? Gobs and gobs of it. Thank you very much. ♥LOVE♥ sour cream, I do.
