How do people find me?

I have a count meter on this blog that tells how many people visit, how long they stay and that kind of thing. Another thing it can do is tell you where they came from, like another blog, Google reader, bloglines etc. Sometimes people put Google something and come to my blog. A lot of the things they are directed to me for make sense. Things like recipes, or recently Christian one liners which I just posted, go along with the things I've written about. However, there are other things that make no sense to me.
I thought I would share a few normal and a few fun usual Google inquiries that were directed to my blog:

1)"John the Baptist" + Grinch

2) what kind of tree has the little helicopters?

3) Crock Pot French Toast

4) I want a life that sizzles and pops and makes me laugh out loud. I want my everyday to make God belly laugh, glad that he gave life to someone who loves the gift, who will use it up and wring it out

5) Who was the president the year I was born

6) top 10 reasons you know it's too cold

7) Check reaction time

8)
Simpsons

9) pulling? happy...

What about you? Have you ever checked the
referrals on your site meter if you have one? Any funny things come up?

  2. Wow, that's weird! I don't know if my site reader gives that info - I will have to check.

I never scrolled down to the bottom of your page before. I like that "No foul language" emblem. I'll have to put one on my site. Most people don't, but I hate it when people think subtituting with acronyms or symbols is acceptable!

I like your verse of the day, too. I was looking at sites for those the other week but don't think I saw that one.

  5. I am VERY technically challenged, especially when it comes to the internet.

I'm learning there are things out there that are WAY beyond my comprehension.

I have no idea if people google something and find me, but based on Caboose's comments I've posted about, that's a scary thought.

That long one of yours was funny though...

  10. Some people check my blog and they do not want me to know it. I don't broadcast that I know all this stuff or they would stop reading my blog. =)

  16. Mari,

I had site meter on my website years ago, but when I began my blog, I couldn't find it, so have only had a counter on there. Now, I have site meter. I enjoy seeing where my visitors come from and who finds me in a search.

Enjoyed your post. Thanks for sharing. Have a great week.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  18. Laughing...I love the "pulling? happy..." People are SO weird.

THOUGH, Jason tells me that if anyone ever saw my google search bar, they'd think I was totally insane.

I do google some STRANGE things, too.
