It's time for Tips on Tuesday hosted by the lovely Sandra at Diary of a SAHM. My tip for today is about decorating your Christmas tree.
You may have seen this idea before, but I though it was worth sharing. When you are done decorating your tree, does it look like there are spots that need something? Take one of these twirly dried naturals, that you see in floral arrangements (on my bag they are called Dried Naturals) and stick it into any empty spot you find.
.Here is a close up view of my tree - you can see a few of them sticking out of the side.
These are available at any hobby store in the dried flower area and I have seen them in silver, gold, white and natural. They make a nice addition to your tree!

ReplyDeleteI do that too, but mine are kind of worn out from the last couple of Christmas tree trimmings. I just went to Walmart and bought some more, I think I'll add them to my garland on my mantle too. Can't be to sparkly after all!!

ReplyDeleteUse those all over my trees....love'em, but do you have any tips about keeping them from getting into a tangled mess while they are in storage (other than wrapping them one by one)???? ;-) They are a pain to get to come apart. Your tree looks beautiful..how bout a full size shot so we can see it all?

ReplyDeleteThat stuff is called "ting-ting" and I love it! I just picked up some at Michael's on Friday, and I can't wait to stick it all which-a-way in my tree! There's already some amidst the poinsettias and frosted eucalyptus in my door bucket. Your decorations look lovely, Mari.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea. I like your tree. I still have a lot of kids crafts on my tree and several snowmen. Your's looks really nice. Love the colors. We put LED lights on ours this year.
