Cleo's big adventure

Our cat, Cleo is pretty much a spoiled thing. She lives inside and never steps foot outside. Occasionally she tries to get out the door when we have it open.
With all the snow we got last week, Bob was having to plow a path out to his workshop. We thought that since the snow was so deep, it wouldn't hurt to let Cleo in the walkway, since there really wasn't anyplace for her to go to.
Here are a few pictures of her outside in the snow:

She didn't really know what to make of it. I thought she would come right back in, but she just sat there, looked around and sniffed at the snow. After a few minutes, we took her back in. That's enough adventuring for one day!

  1. Awww- she's so cute- I bet she had fun. Oscar got sick of his leash today too and took off out the door when I opened it. He wanted to chase the leaves that were being blown around. He's never done that before. I took off too- to retrieve him!

  2. I love how she keeps looking back like she's not really sure of all this white stuff!

  3. Mari,

Cute photos. It looks like Cleo is a little puzzled with all that cold, white stuff. Of course an indoor cat wouldn't really know what to make of it. Glad she was able to get out for a few minutes.

    Blessings,

  12. Wouldn't you love to know what she is thinking? How fun! My dog would be the same way if we could ever get that much snow.

  14. I bet she cannot believe how high that snow is. It is as tall as she is! Think about seeing snow as tall as we are. It would be a little daunting to say the least!

  16. Boy, you still have a lot of snow! We don't have any left here on my side of the state. Of course you know that now that I've said that we should get tons in the near future! Get in kitty, it's cold out there!

  20. That's a lot of snow! Hey, Mari, come back to my post. Since the video didn't work, I tried embedding a slide show instead, and I think that is working.

  21. Wow- you guys got quite a bit of snow. We are still waiting for anything measurable.

I had a dog that used to burrow tunnels in the snow. Cleo doesnt look that interested in digging

  23. Cute!
We have had some pretty warm weather here the last few weeks so I'm shocked at just how much snow you guys are getting. I wouldn't know what to do with a little bit of snow much less that much.

  24. You know, Peka keeps trying to get in the garage. I don't really know where he thinks he's going. The farm cat that has his winter fat would have him for dinner! That's if he didn't freeze to death first.

And he loves the basement. He meows at us all the time to open the door so he can go down there. It's unfinished, but he likes it. Go figure.

  25. One of my kitties does the same thing, when the snow is deep enough, we let him out and he usually runs back in :)....run Cleo run! LOL
