What are we doing tonight?

Yes - we are still working on that kitchen! We are at the final big step. Tonight we tore out the yucky old vinyl flooring. I have hated this floor since we moved in and am not at all sorry to see it go. Bob rigged up a scraper and did the hard work of scraping it up, while I hauled pieces away and moved things as he got to them. What a messy job!

Here's the floor as it looks now. Beautiful, isn't it? Bob's going to do some sanding to it and is hoping to be putting the new floor in on Saturday.

  3. Woo hoo for you!

By the way, somehow I missed your Debbie M green bags post and just saw it a little bit ago. I have wanted to try those for so long and was too chicken to spend my money on them. (I seem to have the chicken/not brave enough them going lately). So I just have to give you a big fat thank you for trying these out and sharing your find with us. I am going to buy some of these SOON! I buy lots of produce, some of it organic so I don't fill up my little people with pesticides, and I hate for it to go bad at those prices. I try really hard, but sometimes it just can't be helped, so this will be a big money saver for us.

We can use them in the fridge or out of the fridge, right? I'm sure it says on the package, but since I don't have it yet, I'm asking. And of course this all relates to the kitchen post because it's food.

  20. Nice floor. Wish mine was that pretty.

Seriouly, cant wait to see the new floor. Oh, and I tried your chicken crock pot recipe (the one with two cans of soup, carrots and potatos) Every one LOVED it. I shredded the chicken up and we ate it left over that way the next night. Still quite tasty
