This is the back corner of our yard. I thought I would introduce you to this little boy who sits in our flower beds. His name is Malcolm. The kids gave him to Bob about 8 years ago and we have enjoyed seeing him ever since. You may wonder why his name is Malcolm? Bob named him that, saying he was "Malcolm, in the middle of the flowers". The show, "Malcolm in the Middle", was popular at the time and so the name stuck and we still refer to him as that.
Malcom!! That is so cute! And your back yard looks like a place of tremendous beauty and peace.
ReplyDeleteHey, always good to see malcom "the perfect son" Hope he has been taking good care of the flowers.
ReplyDeleteMari. that works for me! Hugs and God's Blessings to you and your family. My friend.Mike G. said that! (It's my A.A.thing)
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous backyard! I've never heard of a hydrangea tree but it looks beautiful. Are the blooms on the tree like the blooms on the hydrangea flowers?
ReplyDeleteI love that Malcom stands guard in your backyard...very sweet!
Hahahaha! I love the little boy's name! What a lovely corner! All your flowers look so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThis is probably crazy but I never have seen such a lovely thistle. I must get some of that! It took my eye first thing!
You do have a beautiful back yard- I've always loved Malcolm too!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I like how Bob came up with the name!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! I'd like to sit back there and share a glass of lemonade with Malcom...or you!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to know your *Bob* has an excellent sense of humor too, although mine doesn't go by the shortened name.
ReplyDeleteAnd how smart you were to put the names of the flowers for people like me who were going to ask. That Globe Thistle looks like a purple dandelion, and the Cosmos is such a cute little flower.

ReplyDeleteI love your backyard, I only wish I could keep flowers alive in mine, then again, it's Arizona, only thing alive out there is the cactus LOL
ReplyDeleteThose pictures make me go :) ... the desert I live in makes me go :(
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous! Your yard is GORGEOUS!!!!!! How refreshing! I would love to just sit in your yard. Can I? lol

ReplyDeleteGod makes the flowers pretty, we just plant them.
ReplyDeleteMari I love your flowers. My dream is to put more flowers in my own yard so that I can just sit and relax among them. God creates such beauty in the world.
