Works for me Wednesday

Have you ever noticed how a clean oven seems to attract spills? I have a self cleaning oven, but I don't like to be running it all the time. I was introduced to these oven liners by a friend of mine. She raved about how much she loved hers, so I bought one. It cost me $9.99 at a kitchen store. You cut it to fit in your oven and lay it on the oven floor. If something burns over or spills, you can take this liner out and most things fall right off from it. You can also rinse it off. I've been using mine since November and it's saved me from some messes and that nasty burning smell several times!

Thanks for the oven tip. It seems like everytime I run the self clean on my oven A spill over happens very soon afterwards. I will have to try this. Hugs, Lisa

  3. I have a self cleaning oven too and I don't like to clean it without the window open. Is this foil like? I have heard that foil will burn out the oven element more quickly. I will have to check it out.

  8. Oh I need one of those really bad! I started a fire in my oven during the "self clean" cycle. Kaylyn asked me if there was supposed to be flames in the oven. AHHHHH! How do you put it out since the oven LOCKS when it is on self clean. I shook the oven really hard and the fire went out thank goodness. I think it was butter from baking beer bread, the butter you t over the top one time went out over the sides of the pan.
My girls had fun that day telling the bus driver and teachers that "mommy started a fire in the oven this morning".
    Smiles!

  15. I will be happy working with you again too. I am going to have to try to find one of those oven things. I usually use the blue easy off bottle as that cleans really good and Tom said the self cleaner ovens always stink and take long time anyway. I can clean it in no time with the easy off, but maybe one of those will save more time.
