Bob was discharged from the hospital this afternoon and is happy to be home. I'm happy to report that all of his test reports were good and showed no problems. He will have to see our Dr next week for a follow up. If he has any further problems you can be assured that I won't let him ignore them! On the one hand, I'm happy that they didn't find damage or problems, but it's also frustrating because I'd like to know what was causing the issues he had. He has tomorrow off work and goes back on Wednesday. He is supposed to avoid stress and any hard physical labor. I guess I'll be doing the driveway the rest of the winter! (and as I told him - I'm happy to do it!)
We so appreciate all of your prayers. It is really humbling to know that people from all over the world are praying and we thank you all. Please keep praying that the Dr's get to the bottom of this.
You may be wondering what the picture has to do with the rest of this post. It's showing a bracelet that I bought at the hospital gift shop. The words on it say: "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord." Jeremiah 29:11 I've always liked that verse and thought it was really fitting for a health scare. Isn't it reassuring that God has plans for our lives? The rest of the verse says: "plans to prosper you, and not to harm you". That doesn't mean that everything that happens to us will be wonderful, but it does mean that God is taking care of us and even when bad things happen they can be used for good by Him. We also have to remember that God sees the "big picture," when we only see a little portion. Knowing this sure does help during difficult times!
Yeah to THE GREAT PHYSICIAN for overseeing and providing positive reports.
ReplyDeleteYeah to YOU for buying the cutest little bracelet ever. (Did they have another????)
:0)
I am glad to hear you are back at home. I completely get the frustration of not knowing then what caused the issues.
ReplyDeleteSmiles!
I'm so glad to hear that Bob is doing well and is back home again. Jeremiah 29:11-13 are my favorite verses and hold a very special meaning to me. I'll have to tell you about it sometime. :)
ReplyDeleteWe are so happy to read this post this evening. Glad Bob is home and feeling better. One thing for sure, he shouldn't be out in the cold shoveling the drive. We need to pray for less snow in Michigan.
ReplyDeleteYa HOO!!! I just knew he would be alright. You two had a bunch of prayer warriors out there sending prayers on your behalf.. Isn't it so cool how all this worked out???
ReplyDeleteI love the verse on the bracelet. I have often wanted one of those. Good daily reminder.
ReplyDeleteI am so thankful that Bob didn't show signs of heart disease. Our bodies are so complex. We can continue to pray that he will show no further signs of trouble.
I'm so glad to hear about the good report. Jer. 29:11 is one of my favorite verses!!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear that you are back home. I do pray for clear results and that nothing is overlooked. I love that verse too, it is very powerful. May there be peace in your household Mari. Angels watching over you all. Love from very hot New Zealand
ReplyDeleteI love that verse, and the bracelet!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that Bob was able to come home today. I hope that things continue to go well.
I just have to ask...how were your chicken sandwiches? ;)
Glad he's ok !!
ReplyDeleteHALLELUIAH!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome bracelet, Gods gift to you both:)
I'm so glad he's safe and sound back at home. You can bet that Mark's not going to let you be shoveling that driveway!!
ReplyDeletemari,
ReplyDeleteI am glad to hear Bob is doing good! I read the prayer request over at your sister's Blog.
I think the world of you and it was an honor to be in prayer for your family!
Wasn't that bracelet a nice evidence of grace?
Mari, so glad to hear you guys are home! We will keep praying!
ReplyDeleteNancy alerted me to pray (on her blog) ... just so glad that you guys are home again ... and that it was just a reminder that we are all mortal ...
ReplyDeletethe bracelet has a super verse on it!
((hugs))
Yay that you're home! Now Dad better behave and not scare us anymore! And I like the bracelet too - that's very cute.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are back home. I will continue to pray that the Dr figure out what was going on. I know that is frustrating too, not knowing what caused the symptoms.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the bracelet. That is one of my favorite verses. Hmmm, I am going to try and find one. So you have any manufacture names?
I received one of those bracelets as a gift with Philippians 4:13 on it. Jer.29:11 has been the verse of hope for me since Tyler's homegoing. I may have to get that one!
ReplyDeleteLove and continued prayers and praise, ~Debi
SOOOOO thankful that your hubs is okay. I will be praying that you're able to get to the bottom of whatever has been causing these problems in the first place.
ReplyDeleteBut praise the Lord that he's home, and okay!!
Jer 29:11 is my life verse. It's on the bottom of my blog...it has been a great encouragement to me in the valleys and hills of my life. Love the bracelet!
So glad you guys are back home. We will continue to pray :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great bracelet. You probably needed that at that moment!
ReplyDeleteglad your husband is feeling better. Will continue to pray for him.
ReplyDeleteI love that bible verse!
Dear Mari,
ReplyDeleteI've been looking around your blog and enjoying it so much!
I too have a stubborn husband. He does have heart problems. I worry about him a lot but a lot of the risk factors are in his control not mine. (smoking and overweight)
I hope they find out what your Hubby's problems were...have they checked his gal bladder...sometimes that can make you have chest pains.
Your braclet is very pretty...plus the added blessing of a verse that speaks right to you!
Praise the Lord! So glad things worked out well and your husband got a good report.
ReplyDeleteSo glad things are looking good. Take care of Mr. Bob and we'll all keep praying for you both.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Kat
I am glad to hear you are home. Take it easy and truly rest on your day off. It's snowy and icky anyways, stay home and put your feet up!
ReplyDeletePraise God...I am so happy that he is now home with you Mari. Health trials are my least favorite, not that I like the others at all either.
ReplyDeleteI loved that bracelet. When my mom was sick in the hospital, all of her girls went in and bought matching rings from the gift shop as a reminder of the blessing of her successful surgery that day.
thank goodness everything is fine - it must be frustrating not being able to figure out why he's not up to par! keep us updated!
