This is a Christmas arrangement my daughter Laura, made for me. She dropped it off on Saturday and I have enjoyed seeing on my table since then, I'm also enjoying its evergreen scent. We had some snow on Saturday but it was followed by freezing rain and then melted. When I got up on Monday, it had been snowing again. Everything was covered, even the branches on the trees. It was beautiful to see in the morning. I took these pictures in the afternoon so some has melted off the branches. Here is our front walk. You can see it wasn't a whole lot of snow, but enough that it needed a little shoveling!
Andy is now back to being a "Nighthawk", which means his classes are at night. He enjoys this. He is in the hanger now and is actually able to do things on the helicopters. He said he is enjoying seeing many types of aircraft that he had only seen before in pictures. There are only 12 guys in these classes and this group will remain together until they finish training. He said it's a good group of guys and quite a few are friends. Only 16 days till he comes home for 2 weeks!

Last but not least I want to share a giveaway with you. Sharon, from Quiet Reflections is going to give away some books and a few other things away. Pop over to her blog to see the specifics. The books look like something that would not only be good to read, but good for us to read!

Mari, those are nice pictures, and Laura's arrangement is beautiful. I am so glad Andy is with a good group of men, doing what they are called to do. How wonderful for you when he comes home. God Bless.
ReplyDeleteThe arrangement is beautiful and I can imagine the lovely fragrance it gives off. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by my blog and participating in the Christmas quiz. It is kind of fun.
I'm going now to visit Sharon and find out what wonderful books she is giving away. Thanks for letting us know about it.
Blessings,
Mary
I love the arrangement she is talented.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up of Sharon's give away. Have a good evening. Blessings
I'm popping over to Sharon's now to check out her blog ...
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful flower arrangement Laura made ! An evergreen scent would be lovely ... mmm ... imagining the smell !
I love these pictures! You know I'm sitting here in my shorts and a tee feeling all hot and bothered and felt cold looking at them - who needs scratch and sniff blogs eh? I could feel the chilliness. Looks beautiful where you are.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, Mari. I love how the snow looks on trees. I've been struggling with the bone chilling cold (already!) of Michigan, but then I look outside and see the trees covered in snow, or at least snow around the base of them, and my heart is warmed. Michigan is a beautiful state. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful arrangement. We are supposed to get 2 inches of snow between 5 and 7 am tomorrow. I will be a busy beaver if I actually make it into work. The first snow of the year freaks everyone out and they feel the need to call the Police and tell them the roads are slick.
ReplyDeleteI don't think we got that much by us. Or maybe we did and I just didn't notice because I could see how cold it was just by looking and I didn't venture out! Yay - we are down to only 16 days til Andy's home!
ReplyDeleteMari,
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are awesome!!! I really tend to forget that it is snowing in December. (Strange comment, I know) I am a born and raised Kentucky girl that was transplanted to South Florida in the late 80's, so I haven't seen snow in December in many many years. I LOVE looking at your snow and appreciate the beauty of it though!
Thanks so much for sharing them!
Melissa
How nice to have such a talented daughter. The arrangement is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGREAT JOB LAURA! That is awesome - there is nothing better than the smell of a tree! WOW - the snow! Y'all need to come down here for sure!
ReplyDeleteThat is really pretty. I can just smell it...actually I wish I could because I have a fake Christmas air freshener smelling up my house! Real would be so much better. Actually I don't think our Christmas tree smells much either yet. I hope that changes, otherwise what's the point?
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures! I miss snow in my neck of the woods (but not driving in it). Have a blessed week.
