Wedding Reception

Friday night we had a wedding reception to celebrate my Dad's recent marriage. The place it was held at is an old church. It is decorated in a Victorian, Christmas style all year long and is beautiful. You can see the stained glass windows still in place. All the kids and grandkids came to this supper. Dad and Anne each have 4 kids and quite a few grandkids, so we filled the place up. It was nice to meet the rest of Anne's family. We had a good time talking to them.

Here are Dad and Anne, enjoying their supper and their grandkids.

This package was a gift from the "Wedding Fairy", who brought them some of their own household goods that they thought they had donated to charity!

  6. Mari, my grandmother (at age 88) got remarried after being a widow for almost 20 years. She married her college sweetheart, the guy she dumped 70 years ago to marry my grandfather (Her new husband was a widower too). Theirs is a sweet story, and yours here reminds me of it. Thank you for sharing. Companionship is SO important.
