Slow Cooking Thursday

It's time for another recipe. I'm doing something different today and posting a dessert. Hope you like it!
Fruit Crisp
1 (20 oz) can pie filling (I've used cherry and blueberry)
1 package yellow cake mix
1 stick butter or margarine
1/2 cup chopped nuts - optional
Pour pie filling into slow cooker. Combine dry cake mix and butter. Sprinkle evenly over pie filling. If using nuts, sprinkle them over top. Cook on high for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Serve warm in bowls with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

I think the fresh peach pie from Wednesday would win by a hair for me, but this would certainly do in a pinch! I wish there were people living in my house who could/would eat this!

  10. WOW, this looks great. I have a friend who makes something like this in the oven, but the slow cooker would be even easier. I will definitely try this one. Thanks for sharing!
