Bob and I like Chinese Food and our favorite is Orange Chicken. I saw this easy recipe to make it at home in the air fryer and knew I had to try it. It was so easy and really did turn out good. It's supposed to have green onions on top, but I didn't have any and instead sprinkled sesame seeds on it. If you like Orange Chicken, you need to give this one a try.
Orange Chicken
Chicken nuggets from the freezer section (do however many you want)
1 cup orange marmalade
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
2 teaspoons soy sauce
green onions, sliced
rice, cooked
Cook chicken nuggets in air fryer as directed on package. (You could also do them in the oven).
While nuggets are cooking, stir the marmalade, BBQ sauce and soy sauce together and heat.
Stir nuggets into sauce mix.
Serve over hot rice and garnish with green onions.

Thank you for sharing this recipe, dear Mari.
ReplyDeleteOh my word whaaaaaat? I live for orange chicken! And General Tso's!!!!! Thanks for the recipe.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a good and simple recipe (except I don't have an air fryer and it's too hot to use the oven. Maybe I need to get one of those new fangled things after all). It sure looks good! I think I like the sesame seeds on top better than the onions!
ReplyDeleteThis, I think I can do too! Thank you so much for this lovely recipe Mari.
ReplyDeleteOoohhh this looks like a keeper! I LOVE orange chicken. And maybe do low sugar jam & bbq and have on cauliflower rice for a bit healthier. Thanks for sharing Love! π

ReplyDeleteWow Mari, can you believe I’m Chinese and I’ve never actually cooked orange chicken myself?
ReplyDeleteI usually just order it when we go out.
Your recipe makes it look so simple though--using nuggets and marmalade is such a clever shortcut.
Hmmmm. I'll have to think about this. Surely is a whole lot easier and less time-consuming than the way I make orange chicken!
ReplyDeleteThat looks good. My cheat recipe for orange chicken is mixing orange marmalade and jarred hoisin sauce.
