  1. I never thought of it before, but I don’t ever remember carrying water with me as a kid and when thirsty, we would use a green garden hose! And here I am, nearing 72!

  3. Funny! But true! Way back when no kid ever carried around water or even attempted to drink it if not thirsty. And we lived and are here today!

  5. I didn’t carry water when I was younger but now we carry many bottles of water, water from the tap having many problems but plastic bottles are not good either! In the past the water was in glass bottles.

  7. Very funny and very true! Hugh Grant talked about this in an interview and it was very amusing.

  8. It is crazy...I know we never got to get water at school except after we were on the playground or at lunchtime. We had water fountains that we had to line up at to get a little drink maybe twice a day. That is an interesting observation. I carry my Tervis water cup with me now everywhere I go. My mouth gets so dry, so I feel like I need a swig every so often to keep me from coughing or just being too dry. I rarely drink bottled water, however, unless there is no other option available. I take my own "filtered water" with me. But I never would've thought of such a thing when I was a child or even as a young adult. Interesting...

  11. Same!! and if we did want a drink, we grabbed the water hose. My kiddos buy water at Sam's Club like there won't ever be anymore water. lol. I promise, they have at least 6 or 7 cases at all times in their house. I NEED TO DRINK MORE WATER THOUGH..

  12. I don't understand it either, but I'm thinking it has to do with all the processed & junk food they are eating. It's cliche, but I sure did drink out of the water hose when I was outside playing. Mama didn't care for us traipsing in and out for water breaks.

  13. I never thought about it - but so true! Lol Although my parents weren't as smart about sunscreen and now I paying the price. 😉 So maybe change can be a good thing too. 😊

As a kid I was a Green Hose Guzzler too., oh yes there was a water fountain at school but it was always warm and tasted terrible.
