Happy Birthday and Fathers Day!

Bob's birthday was this past week so Laura and Heathers families came over Saturday night to have a birthday/Fathers day party.
Unfortunately, Alaina had a bad cold and had to miss not only this party but also a pool party with friends earlier in the day.


When Heather and Andrew arrived, I tried to get a picture of Cassie and Connor on the porch.  They don't sit still for long, so this was the best I got!



We had pizza, then went outside for a while.



Cassie ran for the swing set and Ruby went along to push her.










Laura has a green thumb like her dad, so they wandered around and checked out plants.





Ruby and Cassie went exploring in the back.




Ruby saw me point my camera in her direction and posed nicely.  :)




Bob got this t-shirt with all the kids on it.





Ruby was great with Connor.




Then we enjoyed some yummy ice cream dessert before everyone went home.






I sent some along for Alaina and soon got this picture with the message that it was making her feel much better!

It was a fun night with family celebrating our wonderful Dad and Grandpa!

    Poor Alaina! The t-shirt is so cute, and personalized! I always love seeing beyond your beautiful gate. This is a good photo of Cassie & Conner. Ruby is more beautiful each time I see her. Phil's birthday was Friday, and we, also, celebrated it and Father's Day today.

    I'm so sorry that Alaina wasn't able to be a part of the fun celebration of her grandpa, but it looks as if you made her happy with what you sent home with her.

    I can't believe how big Connor has gotten already! And it seems like Cassie becoming the big sister has made her look so grown-up!

    LOVE the t-shirt! I've not seen anything like that before, and it is adorable.

    My Brother-in-law Bob's birthday is just before Father's Day too.
    We have had this joke going on between us for the last 49 years, when I tease him about being as old as I am . . . Then 3 months later he teases me . . . not any more, LOL.
    Your grands are all so beautiful and you can see the love every time you post about them. Love the tee-shirt and I'll bet it's Bob's new favorite :)

    Mari....these are great pictures and I really enjoyed the smile on Ruby's face when she posed for the camera. she is a cutie. You have a beautiful family. Spending time with family is what makes life wonderful.

    Oh I'm so sorry that Alaina was sick! A summer cold is just awful. I hope she's 100% again by now! And a belated but no less sincere HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Bon, who is our dear friend and whom we love. I think the picture of Laura checking out the plants with her dad is just precious for Father's Day! And I have put the Cassie/Connor photo in my folder! Love it! Precious children xoxo
