May flowers

Oh the joy that Spring brings! The warmer weather combined with the flowers that keep popping open is the best!  Here's what's happening in my yard this week.

I'm always thrilled to see the bleeding heart blooming.

The forsythia provides such a nice splash of yellow.

Our tulips will soon be done, but I still love seeing them.

I can't wait for the lilacs to bloom.  Their beautiful scent brings me back to my childhood and the lilac bush that bloomed outside my parents kitchen window.

The oak leaf hydrangea looks pretty, opening up and stretching toward the sun.

The flowering crab will be open any day!

Mari, I was reading your profile info to my husband last night - We had been talking about in-laws and I had remembered the lovely way you describe being a mother to 4 (3 by birth, 1 by marriage to your daughter). What a wonderful example of how we are to love. Bless you.

I love all your flowers you mentioned [but no images opened for me. :o( ] Will check back when I can.

Hope you had a great mother's day dear Mari. And perhaps enjoyed some of Alaina's company too?!?!!

PS...I sorely miss lilacs. We don't have 'em here, it's too hot for them. Bummer.

I'm unable to see the pictures too. I will come back later and see if I have better luck. Hope your Mother's Day was all you wished for.
